Letterboxing

The weather warmed up enough yesterday for the kids to take a little bike ride and play at the park, it was wonderful. So we thought we'd be adventurous today and try letterboxing, it ended up being a bit chilly by the time we got out but it was so fun. I took the advice from someone else, maybe Steph?? and got a notebook to record our adventures in. We'll keep track of each stamp we find, a little journaling about our adventure and a picture. This one is at a park we've visited quite often. We went on the hunt for a second one and met a "No Trespassing" sign so we had to skip getting to that box. Kate wants to try another one tomorrow. You can find info and see if there are any boxes in your area at letterboxing.org

We almost gave up and then discovered it hidden under some rocks

Kate was thrilled, it was like finding a hidden treasure.

TeaTime!

Speaking of Jack going along with Kate. While they were both still on the mend from their week of sickness Kate decided to put together a tea party for Jack, complete with powdered donuts and marshmallow mateys! I loved how they actually used the little knives and forks.

Girls Night Out

Kate and I had our girls night out and went to the Hannah Montana in 3-D concert with Lonnie and Makenna. It was soooooo fun. Lonnie and I both enjoyed it as much as the girls. It was snowing like crazy that night and the theater was pretty empty. We laughed that we got the tickets online a few weeks ahead to make sure not to miss out. But everyone I've talked to in other towns said their theaters were packed and wild. This is definitely the way to enjoy a concert, especially with younger kids. It was cheaper, a better view and so fun. We've been listening to Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus music for the past few weeks in the car. We just dropped Kate off at school today and I asked Jack if he wanted to listen to music, he says "annah, utana". She trains him so well, and isn't he nice to go along with it all?

Kate's Ski Day

I'm catching up on some pictures from last month. This was Kate's first day of skiing. She did great and really liked it. She took a few runs on the bunny hill and after a nice break in the lodge with snacks she was brave enough to go on the big lift with us. We're looking forward to taking her again soon.
