Hiking

Last weekend we went hiking with Robin and her kids. It was only 2 miles but a very steep hike. The kids did amazing. Jack even wanted to walk, he was probably carried 3/4 of the way up but when he was walking towards the top it was funny his knees were up to his waist with each step. We ate lunch at the top and then made it down in about half the time it took to get up. Jack slept the entire way down. I'm amazed Kate could walk the whole way up and down and she can't wait to go on another hike.

Robin giving out energy pills aka Mike and Ike's, started out about every 20 minutes in the beginning by the end they needed them more like every 2 minutes!
This is the big fire lookout at the top of the mountain.

Does he look tired or what? We were almost to the top, I think Ray carried him the rest of the way.
Alix and Hunter caught a few lizards along the way, I was impressed with this big one. Great motivation to get the little ones to catch up to the big kids to see the lizards.

That is quite the climb you did there. It is amazing that Kate did it all on her own!
So do all these new pictures mean that you guys got a new camera then?

Sorry for the deleted post. I had to fix a couple of mistakes yet again.

Good job Kate! You are going to be an athletic girl just like your momma. You guys are like the inspiring couple who are very active and all. Me and Russ should live by you so we can get skinny. Are you guys coming up for the fairwell on the 14th of Oct. (you can have my camera if you come up - for real!)
love you guys

Energy Pills? What a great idea. I'll have to remember that.

It looks like the hike was a beautiful one! I love the "energy pill" idea. Great job, Kate, for hiking the entire way by yourself!! We love the pictures!
