Update

Here are a few pictures of our progress. In just a week or two it will look completely different. These are just a few shots of what it looks like this week. Ray with lots of help from family and friends filled our garage with this:
He took out this brick, removed the double doors that are hidden in the picture behind the brick, put up a wall, drywall and added to the wall on the right. Behind the wall on the right is the front door.

The kitchen is a work in progress and I think in a few weeks all the work will be worth it - cross our fingers. I'm on my third layer of paint tonight and I really hope it all looks right when it is done. I was worried about the paint across the top which goes into the living room on the right being too dark but I think I love it now.
And of course our little helpers. I had to keep Jack busy today while the plumber was there working so he got to give painting a shot. This is in Kate's room, it'll be a light light purple.

She was the best little wall-paper peeler around. This just came right off - much less work than we thought it would be.

What fun memories of making your house your own. I am very impressed and can't wait for all the after pictures! I must say, should you be painting in your current pregnant state? :)

Krissy I love the color combos! Wonder what made the previous owners say, "hmm, teal, mauve, and oh yes, we must have blue carpet to match!"

Are you painting the cabinets?? I really want to know how to do that, and if it's worth the work involved.
Please leave the original decor in the guest bedroom for me. I've always wanted to sleep in blue, green, and mauve room!

It all looks great!
