New Years Eve
New Years Eve was more sledding but this time up on the mountain. There is a little sled hill by all the ski runs. Ray waved to Jack from the lift and he went running as fast as he could yelling "wait for me, wait for me". It was tough keeping him away from the lift but then Ray took each of them up a few times and they both Loved it. Kate is ready to try skiing - my heart rejoiceth!! She has said no every time I've asked her but all she needed was to be up there and see what it was all about. Jack got to the top of the lift and said "Wow, this is cool". I think he would strap on skis right now if we let him and go cruising down the hill. We'll wait for a little more leg strength, we don't want the poor guy doing splits all day. We stuck around long enough to see the fireworks show up on the mountain at 9:00 and we got more great responses from Jack. Every time they went off we heard a cheerful "Yes!" or "Wow!" or "Whoa Cool!" Gave the folks around us a good chuckle to hear him so excited. After what seemed like hours of chasing Jack around the lodge and hiking up the hill while he tried to find Dad I just couldn't make it into the new year awake, missed it by about 10 minutes. I love to watch the ball drop in Times Square, maybe next year. Happy New Year everyone!
Here is the inaugural ride on the race rocket. This was a Christmas gift for the kids that arrived just a day too late. It was a hit and I think for kids a little nervous about the regular sled, this one was still fun. It doesn't go very fast but it did turn backwards every time, usually straightening out by the bottom.
Ahhh, Jack. What a character. He hops right on and shoots down gleefully happy to crash at the bottom.
After taking each of them up the lift a few times and carrying them down (one at a time). Can you tell they loved it.

I missed ringing in the New Year by about 10 minutes, also. Oh well. It's just not the same as being at your house like last year! That was so much fun...great memories!! I love all of the pictures from sledding! I can't believe how big Jack is! I want to hear him talking in person!! :0) I'm trying to work out everything so I can go to OH. I'll keep you posted!

Congratulations! How exciting for you and your family to have a new little one on the way!
Hi Krissy! Congrats on the new baby. Fun to have a little counter on your blog to let us know how far along your are!
Glad to see that I maybe am not the only person who didn't know your good news. Funny thing is, the last month or so I have been reading your blog thinking, "I wonder if Krissy is pregnant" for no reason whatsoever other than I just thought it!! Wow - I am so in tune:) Congrats!!
Congratulations on the baby! The sledding day looks like fun!
