Kid's Cooking...

We finally took the chance to enter some baking into the fair this year. Both Kate and Jack made their cookies on their own and they turned out so so yummy. Kate made lemon bars, she used her Grandma H's recipe and she got third place! Which means she won $3.00 and she was on cloud nine seeing her ribbon displayed at the fair.
Jack decided to make double chocolate chip cookies with mint frosting. We thought there was no way he couldn't win but sadly there was no ribbon for him. I fully prepped them that they might not win but was still worried for little man. But in Jack fashion it didn't even phase him, he was just wondering when we could leave the food barn and go out to the rides!
It was all business for him

And little miss didn't want to miss out on the action. We decided it probably wasn't fair to the judges that we enter her all natural goodness! Check out the video below if you really want to see this little artist at work.

Just as her name suggests, it turns out that Lily really is a flour girl after all. Really cute video and pictures.

Wish I could have tried some of the treats Kate and Jack made. Way to score a ribbon and prize Kate!

It was fun to see RSSE too!

Let me guess Lily, you were making "Tootsie" rolls!
