Camping

We just spent a few days out at the beach camping. It was so fun. We weren't sure how Lily would like camping so we planned on one night and would stay longer if that went ok. Well she did great, she stayed cuddled in her car-seat all night and barely made a peep. It was pretty cold at night so she and I stayed in the van the second night. Which I kind of preferred because it was warmer and more comfortable. The other kiddos loved the tent, I caught them still asleep the last morning all together.

Sand, sand everywhere!

The official shell collecting crew!

Lucky for Ray and Eric it was super windy. Lucky for me Ray had so much fun we'll go back sooner than later!

Of course the kids had kites too. Luckily it didn't pull them off the ground like their Dad

Hiding out from the wind.

And best picture of the day goes to Eric. They would get right behind this stump and wait for the right gust of wind to jump. Both Ray and Eric went up and out about 15 feet.

We took a little stroll along the bay in Newport, Jack was feeling camera shy.

And right before we left I wanted to go touch the ocean since I didn't dare the day before it was so cold. Ray stayed out of the wind with Lily while the other 3 of us ran down to the water. We stopped by at the right time and got to see a few guys kiteboarding out on the water. It looks like a pretty fun sport but a cold sport too.

That looks like it was SOOO fun! We really missed being there with everyone, I know Peter's gonna be so jealous when he sees the kite pictures! I'm glad Lily did so well, that's so great! Just looking at the pics of the sand and sea make me miss the ocean more than you know!

I remember the beach in Oregon from when I was 8. It still looks fun. Camping with a new baby is fun too. Looks like you have good campers. We will have to join you sometime.

Looks like you had a great time--and smart to go while Lily is still so little!! Nice photo of the guys jumping and catching the wind.

How fun. Lily is quite the trooper, camping right from the start. What a beautiful beach. I am glad to see things are going so well and that the adjustment to three has been a breeze for you.
